Explore and Discover!
This museum is a Widely Evocative Place
which asks only Thoughtfulness of its visitors

The Back 40 Museum is both a whimsical and a serious place (kinda' like life). As you explore the museum you will typically encounter many fanciful exhibits which are essentially just interesting "fluff." They are merely intended to give the visitor a pleasant and more or less mentally effortless pause. These exhibits are viewed in a way similar to the way one would view a magazine as you casually flip through its pages while waiting for your turn to get your hair trimmed.

On the other hand, the museum also involves some much deeper intellectual and emotional waters. Many of the articles, essays, short-stories, and books that you will find in the reading rooms are not at all "fluffy." They have some serious and universally important stuff to say about the human journey.  Especially in Reading Rooms 1, 3, and 4 is this true.

So, you choose - fanciful or serious.  And, please know that the Back 40 is constantly expanding and changing its exhibits, making the museum a great "come-to" place for repeated and leisurely explorations. Do come often and stay long. Observe, read, ponder, laugh, be challenged, and surprised, and informed.  The Back 40 - it's just a great place to wander.  And, it's plenty big enough to do so for a long while.

  The Metaphysical Realities Explained

"Ah wait, let's face it.  We really don't have the time or energy to become informed about the larger reality.  Anybody can see, we pretty well have our hands full with this itty-bitty one.   And everybody knows, itty-bitty and up-close is way more important than HUGE and far off, right?  Besides, we all know, if you can't see something, it's probably not there at all - probably.  Ok then, back to the to-do list - we're burning daylight."  And so it goes...
